Your smile is important! It is one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile increases self confidence, it can make you feel better about yourself, and it can help make a positive and memorable impression.
The aging process and your lifestyle can stain and darken your teeth. Teeth darken with age--it is part of the aging process. Many things we do on a regular basis can also contribute to stained teeth. These may include drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine, or smoking.
ZOOM whitening can help lighten teeth that have darkened due to aging and help remove the stains that have accumulated.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is ZOOM! and how does it work?
ZOOM! is an in office bleaching process that lightens darkened and discolered enamel and dentin.
The active ingredient in ZOOM! Gel is hydrogen peroxide. As hydrogen peroxide breaks down, oxygen is released and enters the enamal and dentin. It bleaches colored substances while the tooth structure remains unchanged. The ZOOM! light helps activate the breakdown of the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth.
Is tooth whitening safe?
YES. Research and clinical studies over several years indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. As with any tooth whiting product, Zoom! is not recommended for children under the age of 13 and pregnant or lactating women.
How long does the ZOOM! whitening process take?
The actual bleaching process takes 45 minutes. Our office schedules 1 to 1 1/2 hours to polish the teeth, isolate them etc.
Are there any side effects?
Some patients may experience some sensitivity during the treatment. The ZOOM! light generates minimal heat which is the most common source of discomfort. Infrequently, minor tingling sensations may be experienced immediately after the procedure, but always dissipate.
